5 Simple Steps to Clean Your Magnetic Drive Blender

A magnetic drive blender is a countertop-friendly appliance with a design that resembles a high-end coffee maker. Its motor is housed in the blender base and it uses magnets to produce mechanical energy that will spin the blades. It is packed with cool features such as a grip handle, function selection dial, pitcher release lever, and removable funnel. As a magnetic drive blender is mostly used in the kitchen, it must be kept clean and well maintained for it to work effectively. This is why it is important to know how to properly clean the kitchen gadget. Continuing on the subject, in this blog, we share five simple steps to clean a magnetic drive blender. Read on.

1. Disassemble the blender

The first step to take is to unplug the blender before cleaning and remove the pitcher from the base. Now carefully remove the lid, ingredient cup, and funnel. Unscrew the bottom element of the pitcher so that you can be able to remove the blends.

2. Properly clean the jar

Now the next step requires maximum cleaning, and you must wash the pitcher thoroughly. You can hand wash it using warm and soapy water and a sponge, properly scrub the pitch inside and out. After scrubbing, rinse the pitcher thoroughly to get rid of the soapy water, and make sure you wipe it dry.

3. Clean other small parts

In this step, you need to be careful as you will be cleaning the small parts of the blender. Now take the lid, ingredient cup funnel, cutting blade, and locking rings - carefully hand-wash using warm and soapy water. Always be mindful of the sharp edges of the cutting blade and other parts. After washing them, rinse with clean water and wipe them to make sure they are thoroughly dry.

4. Wash the motor housing

Make sure the blender is unplugged because the next step is to wash the blend motor housing and cord. Firstly, with a warm, damp cloth, wipe the motor housing; avoid submerging the base in water. Using the same cloth, wipe down the cord and remember to check for damage. After wiping, dry the motor housing using a soft cloth.

5. Assemble the blender

The final step is to assemble the blender. After you are done cleaning and drying the blender, carefully reassemble every part from the pitcher and the cutting blades to the funnel and lid. Remember to also check if there was any damage caused during cleaning and if not. Store away the magnetic drive blender on the countertop or anyway accessible.

Lastly

In addition to the above-listed cleaning tips, check your owner’s manual of the magnetic drive blender for special cleaning and maintenance recommendations. If you are still in the market looking for a blender, search for a reputable brand offering quality kitchen appliances. When you choose recognizable names, you can expect the appliance to be strong, long-lasting, and well worth your money.
